July Blessings: Deacon Update

Happy July Well Church,

Here's another quick update about some of the things our deacons have done this month despite the heat!

They helped one of our widows repair a broken closet door. They came to the aid of another member whose fridge was making concerning noises. After inspecting it they determined it wasn't something they could repair but noted the fridge being near the end of its life. Moreover, they took one widow to a doctor's appointment and then treated her to lunch. And they regularly drive some of our church members who need it to church on Sunday for service.

Additionally, one of our widows had their air conditioning unit break and they were unable to have it replaced. So our deacons stepped in to order and install a new air conditioning unit. They also gave her a standing fan so she could stay cool while they installed it.

This is still only a part of everything our deacons do! They handle so many different maintenance tasks around the church campus and help so many different people it's difficult for them to remember them all.
