Hey Church Family!
Our deacons have been faithfully serving the widows of our church. I just wanted to highlight some of the things they've done since the new year:
Weed whacked their yard for 2 hours of heartfelt service - then later sprayed weed killer
These deacons have committed to regular maintenance of her yard going forward
One widow had her purse strap break, so they bought her a new purse
Another widow was wearing socks on her hands to keep warm so they got her some gloves. She was so incredibly grateful.
A widow called that she burned her hand on hot water. Our deacon who took the call walked her through treating it with an ice pack and aloe vera rub. Her burn thankfully healed in a few days and never blistered.
Checked on a widow and discovered she was sick to her stomach. They gave her Pepto and waited with her for a few hours. After she felt better, they decided she didn't need more serious care.
Visited a widow that had skin cancer removal. Praise God that she is recovering well.
Finally, they have been picking up a widow every Wednesday night and staying with her to help her enjoy all the fun of our Vision nights!
Keep praying for our Deacons and the ministry they perform on behalf of our church. Most of it is behind the scenes like maintaining the property and performing new upgrades.
