Portable Grand Opening!
The day has finally arrived! We received permits from the city and we're officially opening up use of our portable buildings! We held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and opened up the buildings for everyone to tour them between our Sunday services! I think we can safely say everyone was excited to see them for the first time.
The leftmost portable we have dedicated for our Student program (6th-12th grade), which we aptly named our Youth building. The rightmost of the two is dedicated as our multipurpose Adult classroom. We honestly still have much to do in order to fully decorate them and help them fulfill their purpose, but it's an exciting chapter that we get to open after so much work was put into their opening.
If you are unaware, our church leadership has spent the better part of 3 years in order to purchase, build, and dedicate these buildings for their current use. It took over a year simply to get the plans approved before we ever purchased the buildings. Then it took about a year for the portables to be built, painted, connected to utilities, ramps designed and installed, and have everything else approved. It was a long wait, but we'll all agree it was worth it.
God bless, church family.
