November Youth Highlights

Greetings, church!

We have had a fruitful and exciting November with a variety of victories in our student ministry. 

Youth's-Giving

On 11/21, we had a great time of fellowship and sharing our gratitude during our annual "Youth's-Giving" event. Our leaders cooked tirelessly all day to provide food for a group of 26 students and leaders! Personally, I am very thankful for them AND for the parents that provided food, dessert, and other items for our event. In all, we had a 23-pound turkey, 2 expertly smoked spiral cut hams, homemade mashed potatoes, macaroni salad, stuffing, gravy, pie, cupcakes, and I am sure I am forgetting something. If your student didn't have the opportunity to come this year, hopefully that wonderful list of food will encourage them to join us next year! (haha)

Equipping the Next Generation

In addition, I am excited to share that we have had 2 of our students step up and share 5-minute devotions during our Wednesday night youth program. My hope in asking and encouraging students to do this is to promote peer engagement, encouragement, and personal/spiritual development for those students engaging in giving these devotions. In the short amount of time we have been doing this, I have seen our students grow in their own walks with Christ and their understanding of the word, but it has also been a blessing to see these students rise up as leaders amongst their peers and lead out in encouraging their peers with the life giving word of God. 

This month I was encouraged to see our youth group mission play out in real time: "Equipping students for lifelong discipleship with Christ." I strongly believe that the future of the Church is bright as these young men and women continue to grow and rise up as leaders in our church at The Well!!
