CBU Christmas Church Gathering

Christmas season has officially begun! Lights are going up, Christmas music is playing on the radio, lots and lots of gifts are waiting to be wrapped, and all those parties are filling the calendar in the weeks ahead.

One special way Christmas was celebrated this year was at California Baptist University. For eight years now, they have put on a Christmas show to bless their neighbors, believers and unbelievers alike. Over 50 of our church family attended together for a night of fun.

This year, they showcased spectacular dancing, stage props, lighting, singing, and acting throughout the evening. It truly was a memorable experience watching the narrative of the gospel unfold, from Creation all the way to Christ being sent into the world as our Savior!

We also want to give a huge round of applause to our very own Joshua Thomas, who played the major role of Joseph, Jesus’s earthly father, in addition to contributing guitar solos and vocals. His wife, Tori, was also in the show, not only as a dancer but also serving in the significant role of Assistant Producer. Audrey Floyd likewise had a solo in the musical and did a fantastic job. God has truly blessed our church with gifted and faithful individuals!
